Definitely chills the wine without getting it cold. Only issue I have with it is that you have to pour at least one glass before you can start to chill your wine since it will overflow the bottle. I wind up using this with my chilling sleeve so that I can get the wine cooled down before the first glass. It aerates nicely as well.
