The apple corer has a large enough diameter to handle large apples and slices effortlessly. The serrated edges are sharp and the core separates from the apple because of the supplied base. My only caveat is that the base needs to rest on a dry, non-slip surface. A paper towel does the job.

Very sturdy and sharp. The base is a nice touch and helped the corer go all the way through the apple without having to push it from the bottom like you do most of them. I also liked the handles . They were big enough to let you get a firm grip but not so big that it will be a pain to store.
